The industrial/man-made material is a bodily substance. There is something about it’s physical presence that bridges a relationship between our bodies and our built structures. I experiment with images of the body and sex through the application of ink using screenprinting. By imposing this subject matter onto these concrete panels the images become objects of consumption and permanence. The concrete panels take on a delicate nature.
I have also been experimenting with words as an exploration of conversations into concrete. By embossing a words into a concrete panel they gain the illusion of importance and permanence.
